The first joystick system of its kind for outboards, JPO was designed for multi-engine vessels powered by two to six Verado® outboards. It provides a premium boat-driving experience that is optimized for your boat and engine combination.
360-Degree Control for Pontoons
Mercury JPO for Single-Engine Pontoons makes it easier than ever to maneuver large pontoon boats in close quarters by combining thrust from the outboard and deployable bow and stern thrusters. Two versions are available for new boat installations powered by 175-600hp outboards with Digital Throttle & Shift (DTS) controls:
• Premium version utilizes electric steering and is designed exclusively for Verado outboards.
• Basic version is available for Mercury FourStroke, Pro XS® and SeaPro™ outboards with DTS. It utilizes hydraulic steering, making it accessible to a wide array of boats.
Joystick Piloting Bow Thruster Upgrade Kit
For large boats with JPO and a compatible bow thruster, controlling both JPO and the thruster has traditionally required the driver to manage these systems independently. With the simple addition of a JPO Bow Thruster Integration Kit, control of the thruster is seamlessly integrated with the Mercury joystick.
All the driver has to do is point the joystick where they want to go. The system automatically applies thruster power and outboard throttle, shift and steering simultaneously to move the boat in the proper direction for even greater control
